Harry Styles Talks Acting Debut

July 11, 2017

Harry Styles is branching out, and we have to admit, we’re very excited about his latest venture.

The ‘Sign of the Times’ singer recently spoke about his acting debut, including what it was like working on a movie set, and the physical changes he had to undergo in order to get into character.

Styles will make his feature film debut in the movie, ‘Dunkirk’.

The film, set during World War II, centres around a group of British soldiers stranded on Dunkirk beach, and their subsequent evacuation after foiling attacks from the Germans.

Harry, who plays a hardened soldier in the film, had to chop off his famous locks for the part.

“I felt very naked…When I first told my parents I was going to be in a World War II film, they thought I was playing a lady on the train station waving the soldiers off, so we had to make the chop. But it was good! It’s very breezy,” Harry said.

The film, directed by Christopher Nolan of ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, was a very special experience for Harry.

“I really loved working on this film…I really enjoyed the experience, it was good fun,” he said.

He also said that he was very honoured to work with a director of Nolan’s calibre.

“Honestly, it was an amazing experience. I’m a master Christopher Nolan fan. It would have been something I was excited to watch, had I not been involved anyway. But it was really cool to be the new guy, and kind of learn. It was a completely different challenge, which I really liked. It was a lot of fun. It was tough, but it was good fun,” the 23-year-old said.

In our opinion, Harry looks good with or without his luscious locks.

‘Dunkirk’ premieres on 13 July in the UK and 21 July in the US.
