Pochettino Makes Big Admission about Spurs

April 30, 2020

Mauricio Pochettino has declared his desire to return to Tottenham Hotspur, something that current boss, Jose Mourinho, might not like.

The 48-year-old Argentine football manager was fired as coach of the Lilywhites in November last year, after the team found themselves 14th on the English Premier League table. His exit was just six months after leading them to the UEFA Champions League final.

Club chairman, Daniel Levy, stated that the main reason for Pochettino’s dismissal was because of the “extremely disappointing” results – and lack of trophies – he produced.

Mourinho shortly took over the reins, and brought the team up to eighth spot before the coronavirus pandemic halted all football activities.

Pochettino recently confided in an interview with a football publication that he had an “amazing journey” with Spurs, and that his path would cross with the north London club’s again.

He said: “From the day that I left the club, my dream is to be back and to try to finish the work that we didn’t finish.”
